Familiar with Global Entry?
Fly International a lot? Then beat the Customs-Wait-In-Line syndrome by getting both an expedited passage through US customs as well as TSA Precheck status!!!
It was fast and simple. The only thing you need to be careful about is to go back to the website once in a while after you have finished applying since they will NOT send you a notice that your application has been approved.
There is a four step process to the application.
- Register online at the above website link.
- Check back on the website to see if your application has been approved.
- Upon approval apply for a face-to-face interview at the most convenient location available to you. For me, it was at Sky Harbor in Phoenix.
- Go to the location, taking your passport and another form of id such as your drivers license. They will take a photo of you and your finger prints and that's about it!
Simple and easy.
I will begin using Global Entry on my trip to Japan starting the day after tomorrow.
Oh, the cost of the Global Entry is $100 and is good for five years or the expiration date of your passport, whichever comes first.
